Salary: £65,736 - £82,023

The Strategic Lead will create a strategic framework for designing, developing and delivering homebuilding projects at all stages.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in setting the vision, implementing strategies and innovative solutions to address housing challenges in Southwark to a team of project management staff. Establishing and maintaining excellent partnership working with developers, contractors and other key stakeholders to ensure that Southwark Construction projects continue to be delivered effectively.

The successful candidate will also work alongside other Strategic Leads in Southwark Construction to ensure that delivery, planning, reporting and resourcing take place as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Programme Management Office (PMO) roles

These roles work alongside the delivery teams by defining and maintaining the standards for the council’s homes building programme.

Salary: £56,271 - £69,990

The Senior Programme Manager will take a leading role in managing the Southwark Construction department to ensure that new homes and rebuilding projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

The successful applicant will sit within a high-quality technical, professional programme management support team that is responsible for supporting the delivery teams to attain high standards and achieve the council’s homebuilding targets.

The Senior Programme Manager will work closely with other internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage the council’s homebuilding programme and ensure that Southwark Construction achieves all milestone deadlines within budget.

The successful candidate will report on and present programme information to key stakeholders including Members, Cabinet, senior officers and delivery partners such as the Greater London Authority (GLA).
